As you can see, recently, we’ve had a lot of other ideas to share with you in addition to bracelets!
Today, Anne would like to share the steps to making a sunflower garland.
Materials needed
- Satin cord in green, brown and yellow.
- Size 3 1/2 crochet hook
- Make the chain for the garland by casting on in the green cord and crocheting chain stitches until you get the required length. Cast off. (I usually make mine around 2’50cm.)
- Cast on with the brown cord and chain four. Slip stitch into the first chain and make a circle.
- Crochet 6 half single crochet stitches into the circle. Slip stitch into the first stitch to close the circle.
- *Single crochet into each of the top of the first two loops of the previous round. Chain one.* Repeat two times more. Slip stitch to close the circle.
- Cast off the brown cord.
- Take the yellow cord and *do a half single crochet into the first three loops of the brown circle. Chain one.* Repeat four times. Slip stitch to close the circle.
- Chain three. Turn and make a single crochet into the second chain loop.
- Do a double crochet into the first chain. Slip stitch into the next loop in the circle below.* Repeat 9 more times until you have ten sunflower petals.
- Cast off.
I made 5 sunflowers for my garlands.
Then, cast off the brown ends and use the spare yellow cord to attach the sunflowers to your garland.
